This isn’t your boring, paid-big-bucks-to-go-to, accounting industry conference. Accounting Business Expo is different, in so many ways. It’s free-to-attend*, independently run and vendor agnostic – a true marketplace showcasing the best the industry has to offer.

And it has a whole-of-business approach, covering the entire business – from accounting, finance and administration to HR, marketing and social media – all the tools, information and connections you need optimise your role and business.

Where can I park?
ICC Sydney has 1,200 secure car parks and there are a number of others in and around Darling Harbour. For more information on getting to ICC Sydney, please see here.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
There is a range of hotels around the Darling Harbour precinct. Here is a list of hotels within a 10-minute walk to ICC Sydney.

How much does it cost to attend?
If you DO NOT pre-register online before 20 March 2018, an Expo Pass is $60.00. If you pre-register online, you can obtain a FREE expo pass to access the expo floor from 21 – 22 March 2018.
If you are a business or service provider to the accounting and finance industry, there is a $295 fee to access the expo floor.

How will I receive my ticket?
Your expo badge will be posted to the mailing address you supplied during registration. Please bring this to the event and collect a lanyard upon entry.
Alternatively, you can scan the e-ticket included in your registration confirmation email, at one of the fast track stations located at the Registration counter.

What time does registration open?
The registration counter opens from 8:30am

Will I need to bring identification with me? 
Yes. Proof of industry involvement may be requested at the registration counters or the entrance. We suggest you bring along business cards, invoice or company documentation along with personal identification such as a driver’s licence.

Do I need to pre-register for seminars?
No – although while we will endeavor to provide ample seating, popular sessions will fill early and seating is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

I want to exhibit or sponsor?
ABE brings you face-to-face with more accountancy professionals than you’ll find at any other exhibition or conference. If you would like to cover Accounting Business Expo in a media capacity, you can do so by applying for a media pass. Send us an email with your full details including links to one or more by-lined articles. Media passes are not available to advertising, marketing or PR professionals.

Is there a schedule available?
The full agenda will be released January 2018. We will release a downloadable Agenda at a Glance closer to the event.

Does Accounting Business Expo offer CPD hours?
As ABE is independently run CPD / CPE hours may be claimed solely on a self-assessment basis. It is your responsibility to judge, which educational seminars are relevant and contribute to your professional and personal development

How do I claim CPD hours?
For ease of record keeping, we will provide you with a downloadable Agenda and Program at a Glance.
Individual session times last between 30 and 40 minutes. In total the agenda consists of 46 hours worth of educational content.

For further evidence to accompany your own records, you will also receive an email after the event, which will confirm your attendance at Accounting Business Expo 2018. If you pre-registered but did not attend you will not be eligible to receive supporting letter.

Can students attend?
Accounting Business Expo is not open to students. This is an event to explore, learn and grow business. Entry is restricted to people currently working in the industry.

Can I bring my family/children?
As this is a business event, entry is restricted to only those within the industry.

Are there child-minding facilities?
No. If you are traveling interstate or overseas, we suggest you organise a babysitter through your hotel.

Do I need a Visa for Australia?
Most visitors will require a visa to enter Australia. Please contact your local travel agent or Consulate well in advance to arrange your visa requirements and ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after the date of arrival in Australia. For further information visit the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Can you provide me with an invitation letter to apply for a visitor visa? 
It is not our company policy to provide invitation letters to visitors wishing to attend our shows. For more information on applying for a visa visit the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.

How far is the venue from the Sydney airport?
ICC Sydney is an average 25-minute taxi ride from the Sydney Airport

How do I arrange ground transportation?
The quickest, most affordable mode of transport from Sydney Airport is via Taxi, which is readily available at your arriving terminal.

Accounting Business Expo is strictly a trade-only event. Admission is restricted to accountants, bookkeepers and finance professionals. Persons not in these categories (including children) will not be admitted at any time. Identification may be required at the door. Proof of business identification may include a business card in your name, or employee verification on company letterhead.

Persons not in these industry categories, including children and students under the age of 16, and primary/secondary students (regardless of course of study) will not be admitted at any time. Please note that for safety reasons, children under the age of 16 will not be admitted into the expo. Nursing infants in baby carriers are the only exception; prams, strollers and trolleys (ie shopping trolleys) will not be allowed inside the exhibition halls. This applies to the children of both visitors and exhibitors. Under no circumstances are any children permitted into the exhibition halls during Move In and Move Out of the show.

What is the dress code?
There is no specific dress code for Accounting Business Expo, however, it is a business event so people tend to dress smart casual.

Does Accounting Business Expo have any night events or parties?
There are currently no official parties being held. If you’d like to host one, let us know at abexpo@nationalmedia.com.au
